As I’ve mentioned in one of my previous posts, 90% of what we do is habitual. We do things just because we are used to doing them. Think about it... I have been working on a great new business idea. This is not easy as I am a very busy person, just like you! The only way to make a change, is to change a habit. This is what I do: I get up relatively early, and work for 1 hour on my new business idea. I call it my ‘business development hour’. Then I carry on with the rest of my projects for the day. It has become a habit, I do it every day. And I am achieving a lot more than if I would be working on it every now and then. I’m keeping the momentum so to speak.
It’s the same with getting (or staying) fit, eating healthy, or anything else you’ve always wanted to do. If you do it every day, it’s easy. It’s just what you do, it’s become a habit. So, if you have been thinking about a change in your business / life, take some time each day – preferably at the same time every day – to work on it. Do this for a month, and you’ll see that it becomes second nature. You’ll make the change happen. I look forward to hearing how you get on! Till next week, Marijke

This is so true! 2 years ago, I started going to the gym 3 times per week. Now if I do not go, I really miss it. It's now just "what I do"! This can so easily be translated into other areas of your life. Thanks so much for this tip Marijke and for all your Weekly Marketing Tips. I always read them and find them fantastic! Can't wait to hear all about the new biz! Super exciting!
