When did you last update your marketing plan? (This is assuming you have one!). If you haven't updated it for a while, here are 4 reasons you should do so if you want to stay competitive!
1. Your customers have changed. You might have new markets wanting your product or service. Think about: Who are your customers now compared to a few years ago? 2. You have new products or are thinking of developing new products. This will probably require a different marketing strategy. Think about: How could I market my new products to my existing and new customers? 3. Marketing techniques are changing. In the past, you may have spent more on advertising, whilst now, businesses need to become more internet and social media savvy. Think about: How have you marketed your products in the past and are you making the most of new technologies? Is the marketing you are currently doing working for you? How do you know? Do you have measurements in place to monitor these? 4. Your distribution has changed. Your customers are buying your products in different ways. Think about: How have I distributed my products in the past and what could be a more effective way to do so? Spend some time updating your marketing plan.
